Reading has been my favorite hobby since I was a small child. My mother would read to me every night and as I got older I continued to read every day. I remember going to Target after school to get the latest Goosebumps, then stay up all night long with a little book lamp just to talk about it the next day with my girlfriends. To me, reading was better then watching a movie because I got to decide how the actors would sound, what costumes they wore and create the scenery of the story. (I wanted to be the producer, director, writer and actor of every story in my head)
I know my love of reading was nurtured at a very young age so I thought a Build a Library Baby Shower would be the perfect way to share that love of reading with my future baby . (Yes, I sit around and dream about parties that I may/ or may not have in the future.) There is really great inspiration out there for a Library Shower, with my favorite on Amelie’s House. She originally published the story for her child’s birthday party but so many of the elements could work for a baby shower, as well.

Use Book Pages for the Food Presentation Wrap Pages Around Drink Bottles and make Cones for the Snacks
I would have the guest’s sign the inside cover of a children’s book to act as the guest book. It would be even more special if it was a book the mother read as a child. An engraved bookmark would make a great favor as well. What were your favorite books as a child? Do you have any other ideas for a Build a Library Baby Shower? I would love to hear your thoughts!
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend! I was so lucky to be able to spend Sunday doing what I love — Coordinating Weddings! All of the vendors I worked with this weekend were true professionals and I just cannot wait until I am able to show everyone the photos. The ceremony setting blew my mind and the popcorn bar I set up was a huge hit.
Well, the weather is getting so beautiful and I only have one thing on my mind…Sailing Away! I love cruising and the nautical theme is close to my heart (♥itb) so I decided to bring you an inspiration story for an All American Nautical Party. You can use this inspiration for a casual lobster bake with friends or for a preppy wedding by the sea shore. The most important thing to remember is to be inspired by the beautiful pictures but make the elements your own.

Nautical Flags in the coordinating color of your wedding party can be strung from the umbrellas to the table tops
Easter is this Sunday and I can’t believe how fast this year is flying by! This was always one of my favorite holidays because we would personalize our eggs, hide carrots for the Easter bunny and wear a fabulous new dress. My mother would hide a basket for me and my sister with the most amazing Mr. Sketch markers and a notebook with the most delicious carmel popcorn bunny. We would make spinach dip then go visit with my aunts and cousins.
This year I will coordinating a good friends wedding so it will definitely be a celebration! I have rounded up my favorite decor elements and tablescapes. Find even more Easter inspiration on Pintrest!
Some my favorite party food is a large selection of salads. I love Italian style pasta salad, with roasted red peppers, olives, and basil pesto. A huge garden salad filled with veggies and a juicy, fresh fruit salad are delicious, healthy options. For refreshments, I love drinking white wine spritzers (so retro!). I mix a light white wine (sav blanc or pinot grigio) with some Diet Sprite and a splash of fruit juice. You can always freeze the juice and just throw a few cubes in your glass for fun.

Hi Everyone!
Great things happened in 2011 and 2012 is just going to be better! This year I have just ONE resolution that I can apply to all aspects in my life…
My 2012 New Year’s resolution is to Take It To The Next Level
First area of my life this will apply is my business. Launching MLM Worldwide Event Planning has been my dream since I was a little girl. This year I am going to make the most out of every opportunity I have and become the go-to girl for the most Modern, Luxurious and Magical Bachelorette Parties in Southern California. I am excited!!
The next area I want to take to the next level are my relationships. I want to make more of an effort to spend quality time with my little sister, Alyson and her boyfriend Javi. It would also be great to spend more time with my boyfriend’s brother, Ricky and his sweet fiance, Janae. They are so great together and I can’t wait for their wedding later this year! Of course I hope I get more time with my Dad, he lives a few hours from me and it can be difficult to carve out enough time together. I’m sure my relationship with my Momma will get even closer as time goes on, I can’t go a few days without gossiping with her. I hope I can visit South Orange County more this year for yummy cooking lessons and flower arranging with Wendi and Helen and Bearsie and Frank-dogg (My sweet hunny bunny’s awesome fam!)
And lastly… of course this also applies to my health and fitness!! I tried to become vegetarian last summer and I lasted a few months until my first cheat day ( I couldn’t resist the spicy tiger steak at Thai on Main in Seal Beach, Ca). Since then, I have eaten fish and shrimp here and there and I am fine with being a pescatarian
Overall the fitness area is where I most definitely need to take things to the next level… Actually I am about to create a pin board for exercise ideas. Follow me on Pintrest HERE!!
I hope everyone has a Modern, Luxurious and Magical Year!!
